A little about my life
I live in a small town in the beautiful North Carolina foothills with my husband, our two girls, and two lovable Labrador retrievers who think they run the place (they might be right).
By day, I work as a registered nurse and a gentle sleep coach — helping families find rest in a season that can feel anything but restful. By evening, you’ll usually find me in the kitchen, stirring something on the stove, or out in the yard tending to my little soap-making hobby with homemade goat milk soap.
Slow living isn’t just an aesthetic for me — it’s a conviction. In a world that glorifies busy, I believe there is holy, unhurried work happening right inside our homes, and I want to celebrate that.
This blog is where faith meets flour, and grace covers it all. I write for the woman who is:
Trying to build a home that feels like a sanctuary, not just a structure
• Looking for recipes that feel nourishing without being complicated
• Craving devotionals and Scripture reflections woven into real, everyday life
• Navigating motherhood with a lot of love and a desperate need for grace
• Drawn to a slower, more intentional rhythm — even when life makes that hard
You don’t have to have it all together to be welcome here. Lord knows I don’t. What we do have is grace — and apron strings — and that’s more than enough.
A note on faith
I want to be upfront: Jesus is at the center of everything I share here. Not in a preachy way, but in a “this is the air I breathe” way. If you’re not a person of faith but you love good food, homemaking, and heart-centered living, you’re still so welcome. But if faith is your anchor too, I think you’ll feel right at home.
